On 27 May 2013, the Sverdlovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office reported that the Prigorodny District Prosecutor’s Office filed a claim against the local branch of the Internet provider Rostelecom demanding that the Web site containing Hizb ut-Tahrir materials be blocked.

In the course of the trial, the provider agreed to block the sites, and the lawsuit was withdrawn.

A Web Site Selling Stationery with the State Coat of Arms is Blocked at the Request of the Prosecutorís Office in Tolyatti

A Yamal Court Ordered the Internet Provider to Block Diploma-Selling Web Sites

On 24 May 2013, the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District Prosecutorís Office reported that the Salekhard City Court granted the claim of the Muravlenko City Prosecutorís Office against the local branch of the Internet provider Rostelecom. The Prosecutors Office demanded restrictions on access to Web sites that sold fake diplomas and graduation certificates. The City Prosecutor's Office is overseeing the compliance with the verdict.

Roscomnadzor Made Another Mistake

On May 24, 2013, it was announced that Roscomnadzor added the VKontakte social network to the register of banned sites. In some regions, particularly in Chita and St. Petersburg, providers restricted access to the social network.

According to media reports, the blacklisting took place due to the fact that some photos, published by the Vkontakte users, were recognized by Roscomnadzor as child pornography.†Roskomnadzor spokesman Vladimir Pikov said that VKontakte had been added to the list in error and would be removed from it.
